and here we are again! with a very interesting topic that can be overwhelming at first, but don’t worry, we will look at it in the most peculiar way.

Hymbolic links

do you know windows you have made some folder where you keep your music or family photos XD and suddenly you think mmm I should have this folder on my desktop! with a direct link. And if you got it right !! This is what “symbolic links” looks like, a “direct link” basically what we see is that the file or directory is in a single point on the disk and the links are a pointer against it. and in turn they have an inode number which allows us to make different symbolic links between different file systems.

Hard links

Remember the inodes, basically what they do is that they associate two or more files that share the same inode. Therefore, each hard link is an exact copy of the associated file in:
- permits
- owners
- etc
Where if there is a change in one of the links, it will also have an effect on the other links.

Now. the big question is and what is the difference ??
